Irma's Mexican Food

Cute little mom and pop type of style restaurant. Always seen it growing up but i finally went have herd good thinsg from family and friends. Its very authentic and eveything is very lightly seasoned like how my grandma used to cook. I got the chile relleno that had a yummy crisp outside with a nice cheese. I also got the caldo de res & it was very natural and light not to greasy that i love. My mother got the chilaquiles verdes with two sunny side up eggs and they were phenomenal !! Its very affordable & laid back. I’m used to a bit finer restaurants but this is very old school damily authentic.

I gave it 1 star because the red salsa was the only item that was tasty. AC not working My daughter didn't like the shredded beef tacos because the meat tasted like old grease. Not good flavor. Torta - Carne asada was too tough, and didn't have good flavor. The meat looked more boiled than fried. It was missing a lot of ingredients. Not even a torta. Red cheese enchiladas: The chili .... no. Just horrible flavor. beans were ok. I'm not one to write bad reviews but I felt this was necessary because I've never tasted mexican food like this and these are mexican people! My 10 yr old daughter took one bite of her taco and didn't eat the rest. I asked if she can get something else and the waitress explained the owner would not discount or get a different item. Very disappointed. This place should be shut down.

I was driving for almost an hour and had to use the restroom. Instead of being greeted upon entering the lady yelled at me and told me they were closed even though their hours say they are opened. I explained that I was very hi get and needed to use the restroom but she still turned me away.
