I had the pork and horchata cafe and let me tell you guys, I'm happy I stopped by. The sweet plantains were so good I had to take an order to go. The porkchops were huge!! I'd suggest eating one and taking the other home for a later snack cause you might be very full.
Last weekend we through my bridal shower at Irazu on a Sunday afternoon. I highly recommend this venue for future celebrations. It was extremely easy working with Henry who is very laid back and has a wonderful staff who is helpful and kind. We were able to bring alcohol the day before so that it was chilled, and we brought in many of our own decorations and dessert. The food is amazing, I eat there often and it is consistently fresh and delicious. Pricing is super fair, almost a steal compared to many places who take advantage of using a space, staffing and food. The venue is BYOB and they can make delicious island beverages/smoothies. The vibe is very authentic and Caribbean feels, with the ceiling fans, big open windows and fresh air throughout. Henry ran the air conditioning early so that it wouldn't be too hot or muggy because we had some elderly guests. Overall, the experience was wonderful - couldn't have chosen a better venue. I will return for many many more meals to come.
A favorite for years. Good for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I usually get the shrimp ceviche and the casado entree, chicken or veggie, both healthy choices. The steak is also good. Menu could have more variety, and maybe more gluten-free options. I don’t eat burritos or sandwiches so can’t comment on those, but I’m sure they’re good. The restaurant setting itself is casual and fairly basic.
