If I could spend every night here, I would. The food was the best I've had since I was in Italy. The calamari was literally perfection. Lightly breaded, not greasy at all, and served with pomodoro instead of marinara. The prosciutto was like butter and melted in my mouth, paired with burrata was heaven. The pastas rocked our world. I had the carbonara and he had the pescatore. I have no words to describe the depth of flavor other than "must have". We've just ordered 5 desserts (several to go). We don't live here, so we can't come back, but will be back ANY time we are ever in the area.
There may be more expensive Italian restaurants in Orange County, but you would be hard-pressed to find one that makes better food than you’ll find at Il Dolce. This unassuming but charming restaurant makes incredible pizza, but don’t sleep on the pasta! When I lived in the OC, this was my go-to spot for a consistently stellar meal. Perfect place for a casual date night too. I sure do miss it.
The food is impeccable! Best Nepolitano pizza in the OC! The pasta dishes are otherworldly! And the best truffle fries too!
