When we arrived (approx10:15am) we stood at the front desk for several minutes until the manager HAD to break up A conversation that three servers were having so that one could come seat us. WE ordered, all seemed fine. The waitress was nice. She seemed not too knowledgeable of the menu items but, all was accomplished fine. While we were eating (this bothered me the most) we notices one specific waitress with long hair going back and forth to the prep table. There was a round, plastic bowl with a top on it. She would pick up the top, reach in, with bare hands, get something out and eat it. This happened practically every time she passed in and out from the kitchen area. Question: is this the same item used in prepping MY meal? AND What all did she touch before she put her hands in this container? Other than those two points, and the fact that everyone working there (that I saw) was Hispanic, the music was Hispanic, and the employees talked to each other in Spanish meal was good. Even
This is the BEST IHOP my family has been to. There was 1 lady that was working as the waitress and the cashier for the entire restaurant. I was mentally prepared to have to ask for refills, and to have a long wait, but the experience was the complete opposite. Judy was fast, efficient, and despite a big order all of our food was correct and picture perfect. We never had to ask for anything because she anticipated our needs. The cook was obviously dedicated because the food looked like the commercials. Bring extra $$ for a tip because this waitress is one of the best I've seen.
Old school chain restaurant that is slightly understaffed. Most patrons had silver hair and the vibe was a bit heavy. The bottles of Tabasco and Cholula on the tables gave me some confidence and I waited to be seated. The menu does not have a vegetarian section and no icons that mark vegetarian or vegan options. On the upside, the waitress had no issue naming meat free dishes and pointed out options to remove meat from some dishes or enhance vegetarian dishes with add-ons. I am not sure how a mushroom-spinach omelette (added serano pepper $0.59) and a diet Pepsi (no coke products here) can result in a $19.11 check and $23.11 after tip, but that's a bit too steep for lunch. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian dishes are not highlighted and clearly an afterthought.
