IHOP

A general, average IHOP experience. I’ve been here numerous times over the years and it’s never been bad but never been over the top fantastic. Sometimes the hostess at the front is brisk and abrupt. Our waiter is usually incredibly friendly or fairly kind. Nothing bad but nothing to rave about for this location. It’s about what you are likely expecting when you go to an IHOP.

Well my first and last time at IHOP (at least this location). We were greeted with info that they were short staffed, only had one waiter, and it would be a 20 minute wait. No big deal. But that 20 minute wait turned into a 45 minute wait. When we were seated it was another 45 minutes to get our food. Our waiter was great and genuinely doing their best but I was disappointed to see the kitchen prioritize online/app orders over the in store ones. Salt to the wound was to see 2 tables that were seated after us get their food before us. After our food was delivered we waited a good 5 minutes more to get silverware. My breakfast sausage was undercooked but there was no way I was sending it back to wait who knows how long to get it again. Positives were that our table was very clean and the drinks were refilled in a timely manner- I feel the store was just poorly managed. Next time I want late night breakfast I will choose a different chain.

Food was ok. The service started good. But our server did not notice that there was no silverware on the table. After serving our food we noticed we got a plate we did not order and we had no silverware. We asked for silverware and she apologized and said she would bring it right out. Them we sat waiting with our food on the table. After several minutes we had to go track her down and ask again. She said she forgot. The. The manager came over to talk to us and apologize. But no adjustments to the bill were forthcoming. Also the whole restaurant was in the middle of being bussed but not done. Dirty tables. The men’s bathroom was not in good shape at all either. I noticed that the cleaning checklist showed nobody had checked it sine Friday in the Am. We were on Sunday morning. I also told the manager to check the bathroom. So I would not recommend this IHop. Poor sanitation and service.
