Humble City Cafe

Nice old place with a lot of history since it opened its doors, in a special place: old historical Humble town, in Texas. Great food, awesome people working hard to make you feel special and welcome. From a morning coffee and a tasty breakfast, to a delicious dinner, if you like the traditional country style dishes, here you can find some good ones. Definitely coming back soon!

So this was an average restaurant, however the decor brings it up to a four-star, creating a really cool “diner-esque” look. The ceiling were very high and the dining areas were large and very spaced out. The food was good quality, decently priced but nothing « out of this world ». To have a glimpse into some vintage mid-20th century American decor and other paraphernalia, I guess it would be worth it. The wait staff was kind and prompt and the kitchen prepared our meals in a timely manner. I guess I would give it 3.5 stars.

I'm sure it's fine if you eat there, but don't order to go. My coworker and I ordered Chicken fried chicken with cream gravy. They asked me twice over the phone about the gravy, then proceeded to give me 2 orders with no gravy at all. Very sad plates! When I called the lady said I could either leave work again to come correct their mistake, or have a free drink next time???!!! Sorry, there won't be a next time.
