Huey's Downtown

It was conveniently just about a 10 minute walk, on a sidewalk next to the main road from our hotel, and nestled into the corner. Very easily accessible and appeared to be the most comfortable place to stop at for food and drinks. The bartender was polite but preferred making traditional drinks, although he did make my specialty drink quite well. I felt the inside temperature was just right for the hot summer evening, so no sweater or jacket was neccssary for me.

If you're in Memphis, do your belly a favor and go get a Texas Toast burger from Huey's!! Hands down, it was the best burger I've ever had. We went on a Saturday and there was no wait to be seated. Our server was super friendly and the food arrived quickly. I actually ordered a regular cheeseburger and tots and my husband ordered the Texas Toast burger with hand-battered onion rings. He was raving about how delicious it was so I took a bite, even though I didn't have high expectations because (1) my burger was awesome and (2) I don't like pepper jack cheese or jalapenos.... It was hard for me to admit he was right, lol. Seriously, it's amazing. Go get one! :) Great atmosphere, excellent service, incredible food. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

HUEY LEWIS a great rock star with great taste for good food. Down here in Memphis with the wifey on a road trip to a wedding. I had the old tyme A-1 Burger with tater tots. This Burger is a 10 for sure!! I was hesitant because I didn't want the over abundance of barbecue sauce. But the amount they put on was Just perfect! not overwhelming. taste was amazing! My wife had the potato soup (10) Potatoes were huge flavor was great she said. She also had the salad which was fresh And crisp. Service was a 10, cleanliness was a 10, and the bathrooms were 10. There were also starting Trivia night which we thought was kind of cool.. Great vibe, great atmosphere. Best of all was the price.!! Very affordable!!
