Howlers And Growlers

Great spot usually to grab a pint, but went here on a Thursday night where there were three large groups with kids. The staff apologized because 2/3 groups weren’t planned, but it was still pretty chaotic. As a result, we couldn’t order food, which was a bummer. I know the staff was doing the best they could, but kids were running everywhere and one ran into me coming out of the bathroom. The place doesn’t have insulated ceilings so everything echoes LOUDLY in the bar, especially kids screaming. We’ll be back, but maybe on an off night.

So normally the pictures come before bites have been taken. Not this time. I had the standard burger with an egg and my wife had the grilled cheese. My wife loved the fries. Yes, the fries. She said they are the perfect blend of crispy outside and soft warm inside. It wasn't busy when we went on a Thursday night. Very mellow vibe with cool industrial look. Lots of choices for beer on tap. You will definitely find one you like.

Takeout review: The presentation was decent, but the food was BLAND. I have been wanting to visit this place, but never have time to do so. Today I ordered via DoorDash. The food arrived quickly and the temperature still warm. The Standard burger was moist yet bland. The duck fries were SALTY. The garlic parm wings was unbattered, unfloured, wings with a sprinkle of parm. Howlers & Growlers you need to hire the chefs at The Charlevoix. This meal lacked so much flavor.
