Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar

This is a absolutely abysmal. We waited at the front for 10 mins for a empty restaurant. The server Ale was a bit scatter brained and couldn’t remember what was ordered and didn’t bring us forks. My mother ate her food with her fingers. The food is a big miss everything is subpar. I sent my crawfish back because they are coming in dead and frozen and are not fresh at all. I was told that I may not get them taken off my check. They also do not have a beer or wine program at all only liquor and mixed drinks. And at the conclusion of our meal my group of 5 was forced to pay the mandatory 6 person + tip fee. Only upside is that as an opening incentive all meals are 15% off. I will never be coming back!

Awesome experience at Hook and Reel in Richmond thanks to our server, Bobby D! I had never been there. So, he was so helpful explaining the menu options and making recommendations. He was very attentive, thoughtful and pleasant and the mussels boil with the seasoned garlic butter that he recommended were excellent! We went back again and requested to sit in Bobby’s section!

1st time here and it was such a vibe!!! The waitress Ale gave honest suggestions about the menu and Kevin the bartender had the drinks popping! They now have two new customers!!! The food was hot, fresh and seasoned well. They have sweet corn and it was sooo good!!! They also offered a discount!!!! Coming back next week!
