About as authentic as it gets. This hole-in-the-wall restaurant serves up some of the best Vietnamese soups in town at a great price, and it’s worth the trek. Better than many of the Vietnamese spots in international district. If you like traditional Vietnamese pho, then you’re going to *love* their specialty Bun Bo Hue soup. Rich, flavorful broth and they don’t skimp on meat, quality or variety of ingredients. Service is fast and friendly, no frills. Cash only.

Hoang Lan Restaurant has the best Vietnamese Bún bò Huế in town. The restaurant used to take cash only, which I rarely go to because of that. Now they accept debit and credit cards as well. The staff and the food are excellent, especially the Bún bò Huế. It's unique, and you can taste it -- the soup is very flavorful! The best time to go is on a weekday. It can be a little hectic on the weekend; it gets crowded and limited seating, so you'll have to wait a while to be seated. Hoang Lan is the place if you want a savory bowl of Bún bò Huế. Amazing Vietnamese Soups and cuisine. This non pretentious, cozy restaurant will amaze you with their selection of great soups, stir fry.and appetizers. Crab Noodle soup with a tasty tomato broth is amazing.
