We rushed to get here at least 30 minutes before they closed so we weren't those people who show up 10 minutes before closing. We drove over an hour to get here. Walked in restaurant was empty except for a couple groups of people. The hostess had the "too bad" look on her face when we walked in and said that they stop accepting orders at 8:25 (very specific number). We were there at 8:30. If the restaurant stops taking orders at 8:25, then put the closed time at 8:30 and not 9 pm. I've worked in many restaurants, this either meant they already started closing down for the night or that we were a large inconvenience. We planned on ordering very simple dishes so we wouldn't be a hassle. My ties to the Japanese community were not welcome here, will not recommend to anyone who asks me a good recommendation for Japanese cuisine due to lack of hospitality.

My family of 4 came in at 8pm and was told by our server before we were able to order beverages that they stopped taking orders after 8:30pm. We ordered far before then. Everything tasted great but my husbands steak was rare as opposed to medium well like he asked. Little to no time after, the server is dropping the check and asking if we wanted Togo containers. The entire experience felt rushed, and it didn’t help coming back from taking my daughter to the restroom to my food put in a Togo container by the server himself. We left by 8:40pm, meanwhile the guests who came in before us were still enjoying their food with no Togo containers in sight. I felt profiled and as if I wasn’t good enough. Will not be going back.
