Sofrito rice has parts that were undercooked and hard. Thr chimichuri steak was not tender or flavourful. Not worth the price. Paella was mediocre. The only thing i really enjoy was rhe grilled shrimp for appetizer.
This place was really really great! It's difficult to find a parking space near this place because it's in downtown Walnut Creek, but I'll say walking over from wherever you park to here is worth it. I got a Cuban sandwich and Ropa Veija empanadas with a classic Mojito to drink. Everything was delicious. I would rank this higher however I felt the pricing could have been a bit lower. It's not unreasonable, but a bit on the high side. I will say though if you want a really good meal that is uniquely delicious compared to the other restaurants in the area, come here. The next time I go i really want to try their Paella and the fried plantains!
The chimichuri lamb chops were TO DIE FOR! My first Cuban cuisine and it was worth it. It was also Mojito Monday. We had pineapple passion fruit mojitos that were AMAZING. Will be coming here every time I visit my cousin!
