Happy Jack's Pie 'n Burger

My son and I were driving from Southern California to Chico. I asked him to look up a local restaurant with good rating in Bakersfield. We sat at the bar, ordered burgers, and didn’t expect too much. The burgers were served and we both bit into them and agreed. Perfection! The best burgers we’ve ever had you could not ask for better!

Delicious burgers and homemade pies, nice throwback atmosphere and the owners are very nice. They don't have fries as a side order and it's a bit pricy. Menu is simple and they offer drink refills.

Hometown, Mom & Pop (actually Sisters!), lunch-counter experience with fresh foods made in-house from scratch, even the iced tea! The seats at the Lunch counter are real chairs that move, you can get comfortable here. I heartily recommend this incredibly friendly eating establishment!
