HAKATA Hibachi Steak & Sushi

The food is fantastic but my goodness, they price gouge like I’ve never seen! The worst part of this experience was that when I asked for a table as opposed to hibachi, they were quite rude about it and did a heavy visible sigh and eye roll. It made me uncomfortable.

The food, as usual, was good. The service tonight was pitiful. We asked for chop sticks twice & ended up stopping a busboy to get some. My Cosmo was not made with cranberry juice though quite tasty. It took over 15 minutes to get the first 1 to the table. I cancelled the 2nd one after 20 minutes & I was done eating. I asked for to-go boxes for the 3 of us and got 2 small single serving boxes, while others got the large size boxes. The cook didn't interact very much with the 9/10 people on our half of the hibachi. While serving the rice and veggies he over served the 1st couple folks so when he got to the last couple the portion size was significantly smaller. Maybe he thought they were heavy enough? Will I go back, maybe. But if the service doesn't improve, I may not have to worry about that as no one will want to sit through horrible service no matter how good the food might be.
