I am so sad to post this review, but I have tried this place twice now and have had a similar experience both times. Once when they were brand new, now months later. I would have thought they would have worked out the kinks, but no such luck. I have been to other locations in Chicago and LA, both of which were much better experiences. The staff here have either not been properly trained, or it's hard to find good help. Which I understand. The lights in here are so bright it makes it feel more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. Definitely ruins the mood. I know there are dimmers since they dimmed them on our first visit when we asked. To be clear, we only asked because the lights are blinding. It was also very hot inside which made it uncomfortable to eat. It was 85 outside, and felt refreshing when we left. We had way too many plates on our table at any given time, and our waitress came maybe once every 30 minutes. Glasses were constantly empty, we couldn't ask for things we needed, a
Great Yakiniku place. It's pretty pricey compared to places in Japan but it was all delicious and worth it. Nice to see they have imo shochu too. Dine in: Yes … More
Young baby parents alert . I feel this place doesn’t want to do business with the people with young babies. We used to dine in with the union station location a lot before we had our baby and liked the food . However, when we went to the cherry creek location today, we walked in with our 11 months old baby. The front desk at first seemed friendly and wasn’t asking if we had a reservation. As soon as we asked if they had a high chair, we were told NO and the manager (?) changed the pitch right away. They asked if we made a reservation. We were told they didn’t have capacity for us while I could clearly see there are multiple tables without guests or reservation signs. They did ask if we want to come back in another hour ???? however, that was about the time they closed the restaurant. Or if we wanted to make a reservation to come another day. No thanks.
