Beautiful spot in McFarland where you can eat and experience the local lake before and after dinner. Menu includes fried chicken, walleye, and bluegill, so it is a Wisconsin dinner spot done right. Ownership and service are Wisconsin friendly, and the food is football Saturday good... meaning (in my humble opinion...) it doesn't get any better than this. We hadn't been here for a few years, but used to go quite a bit. Delivery appetizers (onion rings, French fries, etc), dinner club style salads with French dressing, and fried chicken done the way it's supposed to be. While Pete the retired truck driver and I ordered and mowed down on and loved the fried chicken...Lisa got the fish tacos and Brett ordered his walleye broiled. Brynne, of course, enjoyed her chicken strips and fries. Wisconsin beat an already beat up New Mexico State team 66-7. And all was right in the (local) world, if only for a moment.

Great food, very reasonably priced. Staff is always friendly. Their staff has very low turnover so you can tell they like working there. Great view of Lake Waubesa. You can't beat their Friday fish fry. Also, a very nice bar and friendly bartenders. Lunch specials are under $10 and you get a full plate of good food. My favorite Friday lunch - fried cod with choice of potato, cole slaw, and a slice of fresh baked bread for $8.95. How can you beat that? I also like the baked chicken lunch with mashed potatoes and gravy, also $8.95.

Went for Friday night fish. I had the 1 piece deep fried cod dinner with hashbrowns and cottage cheese. It was very tasty Others at my table had bluegill and deep fried cod. Our service was excellent and we didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes for a table.
