Great Indian Kitchen Restaurant & Bar

Very nice restaurant. Nice inside. I enjoyed the weekend lunch buffet. The food was fresh, plentiful and flavorful. Servers could have been more attentive. One was friendly but once I was seated, he never came around again until I was getting up to leave. Nobody ever asked if I cared for a refill of my beverage or if I needed anything while I was eating. These things matter.

I decided to get takeout from here as I enjoy Indian food and my husband was out of town. They used to be ‘Nirvana’ in Altamont way up Western Ave. and I have enjoyed their food before. I decided to get lamb samosas and a dish called Calamari Cochin, which is fried calamari with bell peppers, onion, garlic and spices. Mint cilantro sauce and tamarind sauce are included as well. Absolutely flavorful and delicious.

Stopped here for lunch on our way home. Wonderful food at a great price with warm and pleasant service. We enjoyed the lunch buffet, butter naan, and mango lassi. Wish we lived in Albany, we would definitely come back!
