Great American Steakhouse

Every time we come into town we usually have to eat at Great American on George Dieter. Home town favorite we miss. It’s usually very good and a restaurant we enjoy eating at. However, we decided to order pick up. That was a major mistake. First it took over an hour to get the food from the time we placed the order over the phone till they actually handed me the food. Mind you this was a Thursday evening, not Friday, and not a busy Saturday night. How disappointing. Second, have you all ever tasted burnt baked potato? Well that’s basically what 3 members of my family received. Not sure who was manning the spuds here but a clear miss. Don’t get me started on the steak fries, the complete opposite way under cooked. The other food was meh. It pains me to score it this way but no choice. Great American management need to be aware and pay attention to details like they used with “Great” customer service and exceptional food of the past. Hope this is a one off. My wife and I just had dinner and we were both amazed on how awesome they remodeled the restaurant with all open area. I had the top sirloin which was perfectly cooked and seasoned, beans were awesome, my wife's chicken sandwich was delicious along with the shrimp cocktail. Our server, Katia, was outstanding and made sure we were doing well all the time. Thank you Katia for taking care of us.

Mason was a great server. The food was delicious. We got the buffalo chicken salad. Definitely recommend.
