Visited as a brunch spot to reconnect with my kids, whom I hadn't seen in a long time. Sat in a booth instead of a table. 4 people don't really for in a booth and the table was too small for all 4 people. The atmosphere was great. The wait staff was attentive, and the coffee was awesome. Some of the best coffee I've had. The order arrived the way it should and didn't take too long, but there were some things I will be honest about. The syrup wasn't sweet for our French toast or waffles. The rendition of chicken and waffles was not anything like Rosco's. It was a flattened and panko crusted chicken breast. The over medium eggs were not over medium. The tacos were not good, and the sausage had a weird after taste, and we love sausage. I'm giving this 3 stars because our waitress, Carlia, was great.

Tried this spot out for HRWs. The grilled chicken pesto sandwich on sourdough was amazing. Fries were crisp and seasoned. The spot is cute. Downfalls for me: one unisex bathroom that opens directly into the seating area (Im sensitive to smell), the door on the street side is not for use but people use it allowing the Houston heat to blast the tables on that side, the restaurant name signage on the door is not easily readable due to color choice so slow down to find it. Service was basic, no major negatives. They were kind. The patio area looks cute when the weather cools down.

Looking at the ratings I was stoked about trying this place out. Sadly it turned out to be a bummer. Time of day: Saturday late lunch - about 2:30PM. Food: - French burger. Looked great, but was relatively flavorless. Asked for medium, received well done. - Brussel sprouts. Again not much flavor. Peanut sauce was cold. - Chicken and waffles. Decent presentation, but nothing to write home about. Panko crusted chicken, not what we expected. - Not pictured: Grilled chicken pesto and chicken club sandwiches. Again, nothing to write home about. Drinks: - Overloaded mule. Heck that was a strong drink. Tasted alcohol and not much else. Chose to not finish it. Service: Below average. Walked in from the back door as front didn’t seem to be working. Greeted, but no one really seemed to care to try and seat me. Server was okay. Overall, bummed. Wouldn’t go back.
