GONZO!

What a great treat after a long sunset stroll! I was freezing and the idea of a warm bowl of broth to close the night would be perfection. Upon walking in, I was greeted warmly by staff, ordered the miso red and a large Sapporo. They were not kidding when they said it was a large beer! The ramen came out quite quickly and the broth was hearty with depth and full of flavor. Aside from the delicious meal, I have to say the highlight was the amazing team. From the friendly young lady who rung me in to the kind gentleman who kept checking in and offered to direct me to the restroom (located outside in the plaza). To close it off, the owner had approached me to check in on my meal and noted it was his lovely wife greeting customers and son who ran the kitchen - it was hands down such an endearing experience to feel so welcomed by genuinely kind people.

The food and staff here are amazing. Quickly and efficiently got through the ordering process and with a short wait the Gonzo Black ramen was there. First off, I was not prepared for the amazing garlic scent that came with the dish, if I wasn't hungry before, I truly am now! The broth with the garlic oil was wonderful, not at all overpowering, just the right level of garlic. The tonkatsu was tender and tasty, literally everything in the ramen was excellent. At this point I didn't care if it was etiquette or not, I was consuming all of the broth before I left.

Absolutely amazing experience eating here with my family. Broth is very savory and delicious! The boiled egg is definitely cooked correctly and absolutely delish! The pork belly is very good, all toppings are fresh. We also tried the fried chicken. Overall a 5 star experience would highly recommend
