Gonza Tacos Y Tequila

This is the second time we tried this location. First time we came it was right after this location opened. The food was not as good as the original location. The food is now just as good. We really enjoyed our meal. It was very busy on the night we went. Even though they are still on modified hrs and short staffed, the service was excellent and the food was good.

The staff was nice. With that said, I had a terrible food experience at Gonza Taco Y Tequila in Wake Forest, NC. The food was cold and generic, and it tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave. It was the worst Mexican food I've ever had, even worse than microwave dinners. I ordered the enchiladas and the plantains. The tortillas on the enchiladas were cold, the beans had no flavor, the rice was dry and cold, and the plantains tasted like they were a day old. I couldn't even finish my meal. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you're looking for good Mexican food, there are plenty of other options in the area.

Always amazing! I come here regularly and it never disappoints. Margaritas and Taco Lacko are my favorites!
