Excerpt from Eat the World Los Angeles: For as long as you have been eating at restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley, there has been a crowd out front of Golden Deli waiting to be seated. There is obviously a good reason for this: as fads come and go and the masses move on, Golden Deli was never a fad to begin with and most of their customers come from relatively nearby. And they come often.
dac biet was pretty good bit the egg rolls were amazing (best one around)!
We had Bun Bo Hue but tasted weak on the flavorings. Bun cha-gio was crunchy but the chao-Tom had no texture & it was too soft for the breakdown shrimp not chewy. The Sam-buy-luong had no fresh ingredients. I hope that I will come back someday to try something else for a better rating. Edit: The Sam-buu-luong didn't have fresh ingredients when I chewed on it. Smells like dried stuff stored too long in the warehouse. Lunch was about $50 for 2 persons.
