The food is excellent but the reason I gave this place a low rating is because of the service there. Upon entering, we walked to the booth and were "greeted" by a front desk employee with an annoyed and sleepy look on her face as if saying why do people keep coming. She was probably tired?! We didn't wait long although the place was packed. It took a while for our order to be taken, and our server was busy with more tables than she could handle at the time. Luckily, she was nice and pleasant. When she was busy serving other customers, we waved at other employees to grab someone's attention, some people saw but ignored us. One other server did come, and walked away after we politely asked for more marinara sauce. 2 minutes later, he came back with no sauce and told us to tell that to our own server. At this point, we've been waiting for about 10 minutes. I understand that orders should only be placed with our own server, but the other employees could've been more helpful. Good portions,
Flavor: B Service: B Tea: A Solo dining: C Supposedly this is one of the best deep dish pizza places. Perhaps it’s nothing against Giordano’s take on it, but I’m just not a fan. It was flavorful but pricey and takes a long time.
Food: First timer trying Chicago style deep dish pizza and it did not disappoint. I was worried about it could be greasy or overkill with that much ingredients and cheese- but all I tasted is very fresh and quality ingredients and nice flavors blended well together. It’s truly a work of art for pizza like this turned not not greasy at all. I especially enjoy the buttery crust (surprisingly as I usually don’t like pizza crusts at all) - I can’t get enough of it on the golden edges. Wait time: We got there on a Sunday. 2:40 pm- check in with hostess to get a table for two and was informed wait time is 20 minutes 2:46 pm- Pre-order the pizza we wanted next counter 2:53 pm- Got seated and ordered the appetizer and drinks. Drinks come out immediately - appetizer comes out about 10 minutes after we sat down. The star of the show - the deep dish pizza took 40 minutes to get to our bellies since we sat down.
