Despite initially indicating a 1.5 hour wait to get a table, they were very attentive and we ended up getting seated much sooner. We ordered two pizzas - the Meaty Legend, and the Chicago Fire. The Meaty Legend was the absolute bomb - totally delicious, exceeded every expectation, an authentic deep dish masterpiece. The Chicago Fire was also delicious - perhaps slightly too much heat for my taste but that’s just me. Environment was comfy and inviting even to non-locals. All in all a must-visit for any trip to Chicago. If I ever get the chance to return I will definitely leap at it!
After a disappointing experience at another deep dish pizza place, my party and I were excited to give deep dish another try. We were not disappointed! A member of my party and I shared the 9” plain cheese deep dish. The crust was perfectly golden brown and the mozzarella was hot and fresh. The 9” was enough for 2 people but probably would not be enough for 3. The customer service left a little to be desired but our waiter was kind enough to work with a difficult food allergy of a member in my party. He went back to the kitchen and helped to figure out a salad dressing that she could have with her salad. She wished that there was an option to add protein to the salad, but it was a decent salad nonetheless. I will probably return next time I’m in Chicago! Thank you Gino’s for a much better deep dish experience than our first this time in Chicago. Dietary restrictions: They were willing to work with an unusual allergy.
12" pizza for $21, 2 beer and 1 rose. I am not a big fan of pizza, but pizza here is definitely worth trying. The dough is very different, tasty, dry and crunchy while the toppings are still very moist. It took about 45 minutes for the pizza...But it's worth it.
