Good food pricy though. The potatoes focaccia is good but too much expensive for $9 and a small piece (serves 2). Other appetizers are good but again small and expensive. Main course ribeye …. Good tender meat … cooked in the right way… intended to be shared but small for 2. Finished with affogato…. Bottom line: give it a try… nice new location (please keep the heat higher … it was too cold). Something new from the boston flatness food experience. Price vs quantity to improve. Guest host experience to improve…. Lot of potential if they are smart or could be a big failure.
What an amazing gem!! So easy to get to from the green line, and it's in that fun new Cambridge Crossing area. The space itself is really sleek and pretty. All of the staff are professional, warm, and kind. The food is stellar.......which, more on that because OMG THE PASTA. The bolognese is a must (the only photo I took and it wasn't even the dish I ordered it was my husband's! LOL), as is the garlic bread and the grilled foccacia. I ordered the spaghetti alla carbonara and was a little underwhelmed, but I'm very picky because I make my own (I use lots of pepper and really crisp up my pancetta when I make it myself....yes, I use pancetta, it's fine! It's delish!! And from Lucinda Scala Quinn's recipe, fyi). Their wine list includes some delicious natural wines which I greatly appreciated. Definitely make a reservation, although depending on the time they might have space for walk-ins. I was so grateful that they were accommodate us and 2 friends last night, and very grateful we were a
Wow just wow. We went twice in 1 month. Second time we had 1 of each pasta on the menu (we were 3 but it was enough food for 5). They are outstanding. Favorite ones are the mafaldine and the parsnip agnoloti. Least favorite (although still amazing) is the campanelle amatriciana. The zeppole dessert (pistachio whip cream not ricotta) was a special on the menu which was definitely worth it. The tiramisu had a nice delicious alcohol twist to it. The chestnut and golden raisin cheesecake was forgetful however. I think the flavor profile could pack a bigger punch. One of the best restaurant in a long time. Cant wait for their new pasta menu!
