George's Southside Restaurant

We have been visiting George’s Southside Restaurant for years and have thoroughly enjoyed the food and personal service. The Mediterranean salads authentically represent the best of the Mediterranean cuisines we experienced in and around Greece. One day we mentioned to the former Owner that we couldn’t find a true Greek salad here in Columbia and he said to drop by the restaurant and ask for one even though it isn’t on the menu. Today we did just that and the server went to the kitchen with the request and Peter, the owner, made a couple for us. Delicious and authentic. Thanks, George.

If you're brand new in town, go to George's. You'll be a local in no time at all. Best Regular Breakfast Around! I mean, there's some fancy trendy places that can be nice to visit every once in a while, but George's is the place that you go every day before work, even if it's for just a cup of coffee, because it just makes the whole day better. Peter, the owner is ALWAYS working, from clearing tables to manning the grill. Miranda, the Server's Leader, is a pistol! She has my grandsons wrapped around her little finger.

I recently moved to SC from the northeast and let me tell ya, I found my favorite diner here at George’s. I am now a “regular” after only 3 visits. It’s my spot now after church on Sundays and a lunch maybe during the week too here and there. Good meals and even better staff!
