Gazala’s

I came here because I was craving babaganoush, but another dish stole the show. I’ve never really understood the appeal of tahini - in my experience, it’s meek, almost tasteless with the possible afterthought of peanuts. But Gazala’s slapped me in my mouth and made me completely reevaluate what I’ve been eating. That slop I’ve always considered tahini was just a poor imitation. REAL tahini - GAZALA’S tahini - is smooth, rich, aromatic, and very distinctly sesame. My eyes have been opened, and my palate has been cultured.

We were visiting NYC and our daughter took us to Gazala's and it was great! The menu is huge with many selections for different palates. We loved the stuffed grape leaves, hummus with a very large portion of lamb on top and the chicken kebab. The food was fresh, delicious and plentiful. If you love Mediterranean food, you'll love Gazala's. Highly recommend. DrBob

If you are a meat eater, really recommend this place! The lamb kebabs and chicken tenders were juicy and seasoned well~ tasty! The pitas were super thin and delicious too~ a cozy and lovely place for dinner gatherings :)
