Great place for a nice steak!! Me and my fiance' chose this place and we do not regret it! As soon as you walk in you are greeted with wine bottles on the wall and pastrys to your left. you can swing by after your visit and purchase these items to go!! I had the rib eye steak rare 12oz. with rice. my fiance' had the calamari and the short rib pappardelle. Food was out less than 10 minutes after being ordered. we grabbed some drinks she got the Dama and i got the moscow mule. It was our first time here and they gave us free empanadas to try! we were told the empanadas are what the restaurant is best known for and they did not dissapoint!!! The Restaurant vibe is nice and eclectic and modern. Music is just at the right volume. we came on a saturday at 8pm and were seated right away. it is a bit pricey but worth every penny!! if you want to have a nice romantic date come here!!

I have been into Downey Gaucho Grill and I must say service is totally different. In Downey even though food was not tasty at least it wasn't undercooked also I didn't have to look for my server. I brought my mother to this restaurant expecting service to be better. I understand there's a shortage of employees in the restaurant since I am in this industry, but the server did not have one table we were the only table in the premises. The place looks very promising it looks beautiful inside, but food was horrible. We order lentils soup (OK), salmon w/ veggies, meatballs, and tagatelly de mare. Lentils soup seems to be OK my mom eat it all. Salmon had no seasoning and I said none is none (S/P) and veggies were cover in lots of oil. My meatballs were slightly raw, but the worse was undercooked pasta. Believe me I know the difference between al dente and undercooked. Hopefully it gets better soon, would try to go back just to try there steaks, maybe those are their Forte.
