I passed this place walking my dog and thought it looked interesting, much closer to my house than Sushi Badaya which at this point remains my fav since moving to HP from the city. So there was my experience going there: I arrived at the door and the hostess was positioned apparently near the glass exit door so I tried to use that to enter. she seemed annoyed at my logic and motioned me to the other door(the one on the left) and I was in! I asked for carry-out was given a menu, I selected two rolls, one kind of basic and the other most expensive one on the menu. I added the green beans on top.. 90 bucks for 3 items. As a Sunda regular, (even Japonais back in the day!)I thought "this is gonna be good".. I was told I could sit at the bar to wait given a drink menu so thats where I went.I don't drink so pass on that, there were couples dining on either end so I sat next to the wait station where I experienced waiters grabbing trays, waiting for drink orders, complaining about whatever,
We were here a couple of weeks ago and absolutely loved the food, service, and staff attentiveness. We will be back this week!
Note: This is a new restaurant that received one bad review which is skewing its overall rating. Read below for a more up to date and accurate accounting of the restaurant. My review: We just went for the first ride today (10/13/22) and were pleasantly surprised with every dish which was served: Innovative, delicious, and large portions (even the cocktails). They have 100% established themselves as a staple in highwood already and provide a unique take on Asian Fusion cuisine and bring diversity to the streets restaurants offerings. We will be regulars. I had the Gyoza as an appetizer, Dry Aged Steak & Plums as my main and the “We Thought We Were Going To Call This Delicacy” for a cocktail. All delicious. Frankly, i’d go back for the Gyoza and Cocktail most nights if I could. Show stoppers for sure. Lastly if like to mention our waiter was bursting with energy and passion over the restaurant and its offerings enhancing the overall experience. Can’t wait to return.
