Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana

Some friends recommended this restaurant to us and we are hooked. The dough and ingredients they use are top notch and the thickness of the crust was perfect. I'd weigh 500 pounds if I lived near this restaurant. If you like a thin slice with a bit of crunch you'll be in heaven. We're coming back here everytime we're visiting Connecticut! I'm going to miss this place when I go back home. ???? ????

The Margarita pizza was unreal. You can taste how fresh the tomato sauce and the basil are. It definitely worth the hype. Call at least 25min ahead to place your order so that you don’t have to wait in the long line. The downside of ordering ahead is that its not fresh hot right out of the oven when you pickup. The clam pizza was a bit cold when we got it and so the crust was a bit too chewy and not crunchy.

Love the first come first served line out the front and the sheer number of people who come, order take-out and take their pizzas to the nearby park. We got there at 11:30 and were first in line after the opening crowd that got in at 11... We managed to get in fairly quickly, and ordered both the clam pizza and the fig with bacon and goat cheese. Both were amazing, but the fig one was lovely and super crispy of crust, just kissed with enough cheese to perfectly balance the sweet fig jam, and the savory chew of the bacon and creamy goat cheese. The clam was rich with garlic and lovely chewy clams. I was so happy with the birch beer, which wasn't too sweet, and perfect with the pizzas. All of it was well worth the wait. And by 2:30 pm the line was up the block.
