I know owner recently retired and I see change in the menu. But I still see familiar faces at the checkin and in the restaurant. We didn't got free bread and butter like before, prices went little up but beside that everything is same and portions are still big. Food quality is also great like always. We been coming here for 8 years for Salmon Egg Benny and this is my favorite place in Glendale. Still packed and hard to find a parking spot.
I understand this has been a long standing place since 1964, but everything about our experience was objectively horrible. The cafe mocha, with a cheap chocolate syrup did not even resemble anything close to coffee or mocha flavor. My partner’s Michelada was extremely watered down. My chicken fried steak was overly salty and unsatisfying. The home fries were horribly bland with no flavor whatsoever. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this place to others - perhaps the nostalgic nature is what keeps people coming back…?
Amazing food and staff. I've been looking for a great place to grab breakfast/brunch which serves a nice Bloody Mary. I was not disappointed at all. The Eggs Cordon Bleu was so good I finished every bite. I can't wait to take my family here. ❤️
