Flatrock Smokehouse BBQ Restaurant & Catering

More so leaning to 4.5 stars rather than 5 stars. I tried the brisket, ribs and sausage of the 3; the ribs comes out at #1 followed by sausage. The brisket was good however, it was bordering on cool to warm temperature which was the only negative factor. The brisket mac n cheese was very good and both the peach and apple cobbler were very good. The service was good however, the time from order to delivery was delayed which could be the reason why the brisket was not warm. Both the owners stopped by to say hello and were friendly. The one area which they could improve is to deliver the food hot to the table. This one improvement will get 5 stars... I will be visiting again and try it out... First off, anything less than 5 stars is someone having a bad day. This place is phenomenal. The servings are appropriate - if not extra - leaving you full and happy for your money’s worth! Robert introduced himself, as well as his family who work at the counter as well as boh. He chatted with customers as if they were family, bringing joy to the atmosphere. We were also checked on by his wife as well as another employee. If you’re in the area, check this place out. Great, fantastic, and most of all homey. Looking for a nice BBQ restaurant in The Colony? There is a small gem in the city known as Flatrock Smokehouse BBQ. I was informed of a soft opening today before their "Grand Opening" coming Monday. I decided to order brisket, sausage , French fries and coleslaw. The Brisket was very tender and juicy. They understood the difference in offering true brisket and lean brisket. Their sausage was good as well. The French fries are tasty. I can see this place doing well with the locals once open. I would suggest this for lunch or dinner for families, friends or eating solo. Has a nice vibe and atmosphere with a live DJ. Definitely try the brisket when you get a chance. ENJOY!
