Flambo Caribbean/Indian Restaurant - Center City

I went here for restaurant week with a friend to experience traditional Caribbean food. We decided to order from the menu given for restaurant week to sample the food as a 1st time customer. We figured it would provide us with an experience to determine if in the future it would persuade us to try the full menu and not be so hesitant to go all in and potentially become regular customers. Restaurant week is a great marketing tool to gain customers, so whether a full menu or restaurant week deals I believe service and food should be given the same experience. With that said we decided to go with the following: Starters- Spring rolls and Pholourie, Appetizers- Wings in Flambo sauce and Curried Mussels, Entrees- Curry chicken with Basmati white rice and Oxtails with rice and beans, Drink- Gin & tonic. Celebrated my birthday here and I was so happy Loveeeeeeeeeeeeed this experience ???? The owner was so personable and the staff are very attentive. The jerk wings are authentic and drinks were delicious. I’m from Washington DC and never had any Caribbean experience like this before ???? I ordered the Oxtail and red beans and rice plus the roti. This dinner was amazing , very tender and flavorful with all the right ingredients. I would recommend coming here 10/10 for sure!!!!!!!!! Quick service and lit fresh drinks can’t go wrong here trust me. Plus they have brunch on Sunday’s it’s the whole package here ???? I can’t wait to come back ‼️

This fish broth was my initial start on a cold day and let me tell you is was a burst of flavor and so satisfying after coming in from the cold. And next I had seafood Paella and this was Spain in a plate done in Caribbean style. The food was simply delicious. I am happy I listened to my friend that recommended Flambo. Great food and lovely service. Kevin was a joy! We love his attention to details.
