Five Guys

My son, 2 grandsons and I went to 5 Guys Burgers and Fries on Paragon Blvd. the week of July 18th 2022. We ordered 1 cheeseburger, 1 bacon cheeseburger, 2 hotdogs, 3 small fries, 2 large and 2 small drinks. The food was fine. THE BILL CAME OUT TO $65.10 DOLLARS! WTH? After you get over the shock of the price, you watch other customers react the same. I DO NOT have a problem with the following: You go up to the counter to order your food. You get your own drink. You get your own condiments. You go up to the counter to get your food. Your expected to clean up your table. That is completely fine with me. My problem is that you're expected to LEAVE A TIP! Cooking the food is your job that you get paid for. They should be ashamed asking for a tip on top of how over priced the food is. If they didn't expect a tip, the option wouldn't be on the credit card reader. The same items at Texas Roadhouse is $37 plus tax and a 20% tip comes to about $45. We love Five Guys food. At this location, the fries seemed a bit underdone, and the soda in the beverage machines was flat and they ran out of ice during our visit (go figure). My husband let a young man know, and the man hit a few buttons and said the machine says it's fine. He was very friendly, but he didn't come back. My husband threw his cup away and we left, getting a drink at Burger King. But all of the staff there were very nice, and the teamwork, speed was excellent. I got my usual bacon dog with cheese, onions and mayo...its so good!

Great food but just cost way to much for what it is. $40.00 for 2 burgers and a grilled cheese and a medium fry. I've fed 3 of us at a steakhouse for less money.
