We recently went to Filipo's while I was in town visiting family and didn't have a good experience. We went for dinner soon after they opened and were seated right away. Our sever took our drink order and promptly brought them to the table. Our order was taken soon after and the soup and bread was brought out quickly. After waiting nearly 40 minutes for our food we were about to walk out when the server told us it would be out in less than 10 minutes. Twenty minutes later we finally receive our food. It took over an hour to be served, tables that were seated after us were paying for their food and leaving by the time we received ours. The server also brought the wrong size pizza and said he would see what he could do about it. A few minutes later a manager came to the table and said that she would discount the pizza on our check. The pasta dish was a bit bland, but the pizza was very good. When we received the check the manager had changed the price to reflect the correct siz
Great Italian restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Service is excellent and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The eggplant parmesan is pictured in this review and I found it to be savory and quite filling. The portions are generous!
It was freezing cold in there. I'm a landscaper so I don't exactly want that when trying to enjoy a meal. After ordering, the waitress came back and told me that they're out of mozzarella marinara which was the reason why I came there. She told me that the soda was Pepsi products but it tastes like some watered-down generic soda or their lines are very need to be cleaned. I asked for parmesan cheese and pepper flakes and she brought me the equivalent of a thimble full of each. When pouring the contents of the little plastic “thimble” dumped out all over my slice of pizza. After shaking as much of it as I could off, the pizza still set my mouth on fire! I was so Furious that I left hungry. I've been going to Filippo’s for decades since I was a little boy. I'm not sure if I'll ever go back again.
