I walked in when Felipe's was full for the dinner rush. I received prompt service. My tea never went empty during my meal and I was thirsty. My entre, the Azteca Salad, has big chunks of diced, ripe mango with grilled chicken, queso fresco (the crumbly white cheese), red onion sliced thinly, and some other stuff on romaine lettuce. The lime dressing was perfect! You can get beef or shrimp on this salad instead of chicken, but I wouldn't. The chicken was not dry. It had great flavor with grill marks. And the rest of the salad, well, this salad is supposed to be eaten with chicken, but you do you. Or don't. Listen to me. All ths salad is missing is some arugula, fresh, cracked black pepper, and maybe even some avocado. No exaggeration, the Azteca at Felipe's is maybe the best salad I've had at any restaurant. I'm not even kidding. My own salads get complicated quickly. The Azteca is simple and very, very, very good!
This is always a great experience. The food is good and the staff is friendly. It’s not quite the same experience as the original location off West Street, and the food isn’t quite as good. Mostly, they don’t quite take care of you like they do at the original location, but it’s fun and great for the whole family and large groups too!
Great food and fast service. The carne asada tacos are my favorite, and have a great serving size compared to other restaurants. We are seated quickly every time and shortly after chips and salsa are at the table. Drinks are well worth their price, you can taste the alcohol, if you're into that it's great!
