My family and I equals 5. All of us were disappointed with the food. Everything was over cooked. Breading/seasoning not sticking to anything. Red beans super dry, didn’t even put a tint of color or flavor to the rice. Mac and cheese dry, pork chops over cooked. Honestly we all agreed that the sides served was nuked in a microwave. Worst part, it took way over an hour for the food and it turned out like this. $70.00 plus worth of food and we spent more on eating somewhere else. I have always supported small start up businesses, I won’t support this one again. Yet, I wish them well and much success.

Honestly I was excited to eat the food here. I love me some good soul food, and reviews made it seem like the place had some good portions and was a great value. When I got my order I took one look and thought I got the wrong order. Here was my order: 1 meat / two sides (I got Catfish with Mac n cheese and baked beans) - $17 1 order of catfish a la carte -$9 1 order of cornbread muffin - $5 If you look at the attached pictures, you can see what I actually got. For $9 I got one piece of fish, and for $17 I got the same but with two sides. The corn bread muffin? It was just one average sized muffin, and it was $5. Just to give you an idea, I can get over a pound of fried catfish from most other restaurants for $9. At this place I got one piece. I don’t know if the people running the restaurant made a mistake or if the plates really are this small, but this was definitely not a good value at all, especially since at other soul food restaurants gives you a lot more food for that. Keep in

We ordered 2 of the big 4 plates. The red beans and rice were extremely dry, the yams were mushy & like they were from a can, the mac n cheese was decent. The pork chops were over cooked, the corn bread was very blain. The shrimps was.. ok I guess. Everything tasted/ looked as if they were left overs. Waited about an over and nothing was fresh at all. But I wouldn’t come back or recommend.
