Fait Maison Restaurant

Chef, Three words, "I became glutinous." Service and cuisine were exceptional. It's been a well over a decade that I ate food that was delicious and not just an effort to curb hunger.Not since a European vacation.

Just as good as we had hoped. Be careful not to over-order and come hungry. They bring out multiple complementary dishes. The highlights were everything except the main courses ironically. We were too full by then to eat them, but the lamb was very fatty and the duck had chewy tendons. The duck comes with duck legs that are ridiculously good and the sauces with the duck are very good. We also got scallops, which were awesome with the tasty sauce. I cant overstate that the pluses overshadow these two issues. The service and atmosphere were extraordinary. Be ready to spend at least 3 hours there. It felt like an hour and a half for us, but it was a solid 3.5 hours.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience dining at Fait Maison. Everything had such delicious flavors and was beautifully presented. The only reason for not rating a full five stars was that every course was served room temperature or luke warm at best. It would have been so much better had it been hot and food born illnesses thrive at room temperature. The other item that was really odd was their Redbreast Irish whiskey was not Redbreast. They assured me that they saw the bartender pour it, and if so, someone swapped the bottle contents with scotch. Redbreast has zero smoke flavor, but what I received was a smokey scotch. I assure you that I am not mistaken. I had a clean palate and I'm very familiar with the label as well as all of their offerings. In conclusion, although it was not perfect (nobody is), we would love to come back. As mentioned overall, it was a wonderful experience.
