Evans Pit

Customer service was good. The food was definitely nothing to write home about. So I tried Evans out for the first time. I ordered a sausage sandwich, 2 pc. Catfish fillet and a chopped beef sandwich. I didn't eat all of the food in one sitting. The catfish was just ok. I have definitely had worse than this. The sausage sandwich was tasty. The chopped beef had to be the worst I ever tasted, it was dry and was drenched in salt. I could not finish it. I might try the ribs next time to give this place another chance, but if you care at all about your blood pressure don't order the chopped beef.

Very disappointed. I have been a loyal customer for years but the last 7 times I have been there it has been HORRIBLE. Don’t get me wrong the food is still good but it is way overpriced and they give you such smaller portions. But the worst thing of all is that it there are always things unavailable on the menu which isn’t much to choose from. You walk in and there is NO greeting for at least five minutes. Once you wait a LONG time for your food the bag is super greasy. Another customer REFUSED to take the bag and asked for a new one. I always order a baked potato with sour cream on the side because I have a child who cannot eat it but somehow they put it on every time and I have to wait even longer for another one. UNFORTUNATELY They did the same thing again today but told me the first potato was the last one so me and my two small children waited for 20 to 30 minutes to not get any food. Not to mention that they are always out of baked potatoes and when I once called ahead before min

First time customer. I did not eat bbq on that particular day. I was in catfish mode. To me it was delicious. Next time I will try the meat. I live about 35 miles from the area. So it may be a while. The staff was very kind. The gentleman that took my order said it would be about a 10 minute wait. So I went to my vehicle. One of the guy's brought my food to me. I felt that was very thoughtful and kind of him. Now that's real customer service. I hope this establishment is Blessed to be around for a long time.
