Its breaded fish taco was amazing. The portion of ceviche was quite big. It has the taco of the day for every days of week for cheaper prices.
This was my second time here. I came all the way on a plane you could say. I was excited, hungry, and eager. However, round 2, not so fast. Salsa and chips were on point. That's often a test for me and good Mexican-if that's good, the rest should follow. Tacos arrived, excited and they looked awesome. First bite, good, but something missing. Second bite, not better. . . Hummm. Third bite, the disappointment set in. Round 1 was really good, but this time, not hitting it. I left disappointed honestly. Not sure I'd go back after this time. I was really bummed. Chef isn't consistent, that's a bad sign for me. Oh well.
This place a small hidden spot close by to the area of Cal State Fullerton. You’ll have to work to find not only a parking spot but also some place to sit down. When it’s busy it might be better off to togo your food and eat it home. Ordered a bunch of things, shrimp tacos (all the versions, regular, grilled, and battered?), fish tacos (grilled and battered), and shrimp quesadillas combo plate (that came with a bit of rice, pinto beans, and salad/slaw). I wanted to try a bunch more things like their ceviche but there was only so much I could eat/order. All of it was great with the toppings of the tomato slaw but definitely the lime you get from the sauce bar/counter helps. They barely have any sauces and you should/could use them to help with the tacos. Overall the highlight for me were the fresh soft corn tortillas from the tacos but especially the unexpected winner from all that was ordered were the grilled fish tacos.
