Emelia's Tex Mex & Taqueria

Absolutely love the tacos here. I drive around DFW quite a bit for work and have tried many many different places but most don’t come close to Emelias. These are some of the best tacos I’ve had. Anytime I’m in the area it is a mandatory lunch stop. Have been coming here for a few years now. Never disappointed. Prices are fantastic!

Had the Street Tacos and my wife had the Carne Asada. This is better than your average Tex-Mex. It is really closer to traditional Mexican food. My wife and I absolutely loved this dining experience.

Atmosphere: This place is a hidden gem. It has "hole in the wall" vibes (in a good way). Fairly small but has roughly 20 tables. Our food was brought out to us, but it's not somewhere you should expect to get full table service. Great for a quick bite. Staff was friendly. Food: Food had plenty of flavor and sizeable portions. My wife and I both left very full, and our daughter ate from both of our plates a little. I got the shredded brisket torta. My only complaint was the meat was a bit on the mushy side, indicating it had probably been sitting there being kept warm for awhile. Flavor was still great though. My wife got the beef fajitas. Again, flavor was good and tender, but they were a bit overcooked for her taste. Obviously that's something that's subjective. Overall we would definitely go here again and it's worth exploring the menu.
