This was the first time my husband and I went to Elgin Pulic House to eat and we were not disappointed! We did not expect the food to be this good! My husband ordered the jambalaya pasta and I ordered the penne with Chipotle Alfredo. Both were spicy and yummy! Staff was friendly and attentive! Would definitely come back to eat here ????
there isn't on thing I have found that I haven't liked. great menu, great specialty beer list, great mix drink list and friendly, knowledgeable employees. one stood out and went above and beyond to explain the difference beer's. he must be new haven't seen him before. But I hope they keep him, he's a great addition to a already great staff and owners. keep up the fantastic food, etc. I recommend this place to everyone. you won't let hungry or unsatisfied. 5 stars times ????......... Vegetarian options: you won't go home hungry great options and if asked they will make a dish more veggies friendly Dietary restrictions: you ask and they accommodate. I had the pesto chicken sandwich. In my opinion, it needed more pesto. I really couldn't taste it and questioned if they had added it except that I could smell garlic. If there was pesto in the mayonnaise, as the description says, I think it needed more. Nevertheless, I am still giving 5 stars because the sandwich was really good and very flavorful. The chicken was cooked perfectly and topped with thick, high-quality bacon. The pretzel roll was soft and fresh but not doughy. I was also impressed by the sautéed fresh vegetables. They were cooked to a turn and seasoned just right. My husband had the Reuben and Cajun fries. He ate every last morsel. We will definitely be back for future dates. Kid-friendliness: Kids eat free on Sundays! (One free meal per adult entree. 2nd child is 1/2 price)
