El Taco Riendo Express

I had to try it be ause I had passed by it so many times. The video I posted almost explains it all...this place seems to be wanting to please the American pallet, while struggling to maintain an authentic Mexican flavor. Problem is you cannot be on the fence about flavors or authenticity. The salsa were good, spicy, distinct flavors, the red as opposed to the green. The tamales do not pass muster, too much masa (dough) and a pinch of meat, if your lucky. Although the masa has a good taste, I wouldn't call it "tasty". The Agua de Tamarindo (tamarind drink) tastes like hand made tamarind is used, which is great, but it is super sweet, too much sugar, waaaayyyy too much sugar! The chicharrones taco,...pork cracklins, over cooked in a sauce that could be, tomato, could be hinting on guajillo, but just lands flat in between and it cannot be made out, way too sloppy....the tacos de lengua (beef tounge) were the best they had of what I ordered, but not the best that I have had. Everything is always delicious, I usually get the tacos Mexican style and the meats are always fantastic. It's hard to choose a favorite. A co-worker loves the nachos with everything on them and steak! Everything is simply delicious and well priced. I need to get the elote someday

Stopped in for the first time and the food is amazing, the staff was great, and I loved the menu options I've been recommending El Taco Riendo Express to my friends, and I will absolutely will be stopping back again
