The staff is friendly and attentive, and the portion sizes were good for the price. I wish I could saw more positive things about this place, but the fact that the place was nearly empty on a Friday evening speaks volumes. The food was just short of being good and I felt like I had to fight the flies to be able to eat my meal. I would say the salsa tasted homemade. Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian section in the menu.

The food was not to my liking. I ordered a shrimp cocktail and asked for no jalapenos. The shrimp in the cocktail was mutilated. Look more ground up hanging together. It looked raw. Not at all appetizing. On taking a bite to try it, I got a jalapeno. Nope I was done. The waiter finally came over and I asked for a refill on my drink. He asked if everything was okay. I told him no, I didn't like my food. He just looked at me and walked off. He did not even ask if I wanted anything else. I ate the rice on my husband's plate. It was okay, nothing great. The beans tasted as if they were on the verge of souring. Paid full price on the order. No tip left. I do not recommend this place. Very disappointed

Great place to stop off of the highway and get a quick meal of home cooked food.
