Really good Mexican food! I tried their "Wet Burrito," which, according to them, is what put them on the map. The "wetness" comes from how much sauce it has. It was a little spicy, but not so much that I was tearing up or anything. The restaurant is located in what looks like a neighborhood, so don't be alarmed if Google Maps is having you drive by a lot of houses. The parking there isn't marked, so it's just kind of whatever you can make into a parking spot. I really enjoyed dining at El Rio Verde and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for good Mexican food in Tulsa!
We eat here more often than we like to admit. It’s homemade Mexican and the prices allow us to go again and again. Ladies, try the fajita salad - they put the meat and veggies over greens - so good! And men like the “wet burrito”. But don’t stop there. Be sure to try the Horchata or other Mexican drinks. Yum!
Update! Came back with my husband and he fell in love! Still not a fan of the chips and salsa but these fajita steak burritos were delicious ???? Read reviews and had to try while visiting Tulsa.. Went with a friend (we are from Mustang, OK) and my daughter in law from California. We started with chips and salsa wasn't impressed with that at all but the dinner, atmosphere and service was phenomenal ????
