I rather enjoyed it. They make legit steet tacos and, without having to be asked, they come with lime. You'd think a detail such as that would be obvious but all too many other places have "steet style" that comes nowhere close to here. Also, the salsa is great. This place is the real deal for Mexican food, thats why I rate it high.
My favorite Mexican restaurant in Jacksonville! The competition is pretty stiff for mexican around the beaches but el potro takes the cake. They don't have a signature taco like some of the other places, but they have my favorite queso fundido and everything else I have had is great. Pricing is competitive, service is awesome, and it's not deafeningly loud like some of the other places in town. I eat here at least twice a month.
