The El pollo's in Northern California seemed better several years back but then again everything was better. The avocado burrito was dry there was no sour cream or cheese as advertised, the chips size small literally came with five chips. They seem to be downsizing their quantities. The taco was not a corn tortilla shell as advertised.
The person who helped me at the drive through window was rude. It was a last minute decision to get food here, so if course I wasn't ready (I know, I have to be ready). I was ordering for a family of 7, I ordered a couple of things and then when he asked for the next item I said to give me a second as I was looking at the menu... I ordered another item then he asked again for something else I needed, I said "give me a second" and at that moment he sighed. I said "dude, don't sigh I am buying here I am giving you business. He then said "Sir, nobody sighed and if you continue being disrespectful I am going to cancel your order" I said: I heard you sigh. He then again went and said: "if you are being disrespectful I am going to cancel the order and going to call my manager". I just ordered one more thing and left it at that. I am not inclined to go back to this place... A family of 7 (grown ups) would spend a minimum of $75 every time.
The service was great, but the food.. nada. I usually order the Double Chicken Avocado salad (two of them) and I've never had a bad salad. Today's salad looked amazing, however, the chicken on the salad looks different (looks overly seasoned) and is so salty I cannot eat it. That means i'll not be eating the second salad i bought for tomorrow either and am out $20.00. I also noticed a couple new but similar salads on the menu that come with some kind of chile seasoning - i wonder if that's what I actually got. If so, it's terrible.
