The best thing about this restaurant was the ambience and decoration. The bright coloured material and Mexican decorations made for a really interesting contrast against the traditional stain glass windows and dark wood of this former church. The staff were also great, but I can't give it more than 3 stars due to the food. Unfortunately, it was mediocre at best. The fish taco came half filled with just a few pieces of fish, no sauce or onion or cilantro or... well anything to make it a step up from bland. It was a shame because the actual meat and fish wasn't bad, it was just very plain. It was good enough to hit the spot when you're hungry, but I wouldn't rush back for an authentic meal.

From far one of the best Mexican restaurant in Albany. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. Lot of locals.

If I could put 0 stars I would. Idk why this place has 4.4 stars, people must not know what REAL GOOD mexican food is. The place is cute inside but the food is horrible. My family and I felt nauseous afterwards and the carne asada aka steak was full of fat. The chicken was also full with seasoning that wasn't even good and the tex mex burrito was DRENCHED in sour cream and cheese to the point it wasn't enjoyable. The only good thing was the chips and salsa they serve you before your meal. The waitress saw me taking these photos and got upset, too bad. Do better and find better cooks.
