El Pastor Grill

Gerardo was our server and he was excellent ???? he was very attentive. I had the cabrito asado, rice and beans and it was delicious ???? I also order the guacamole and chips. I love the freshness and the way they served the guacamole with the items on the side because you get to put as much onions or jalapenos as you want. Not like most restaurants it's already premade. I also order their specialty dessert (pie de guayaba) and it was delicious ????. First time coming here and had a great experience overall. Definitely coming back.

I had a great dinner at El Pastor Restaurant at the new location on 10th st in McAllen, TX. I love their authentic Mexican take on fine border dining. I loved the fajita plate and my wife loved her chicken enchiladas. I'm not a fan of cabrito but they do cook it the right way which is grilled on a spit over coals in front of a window so you can see the delicacy. Service was impeccable ????. A few items they were out of did disappoint a little but I expect they are just working out wrinkles into the new establishment. One of the top 2 Mexican restaurants in McAllen in my opinion.
