Reviews for El Mitote

The food was great, portions are just right and prices are fair. The staff was friendly, fast and attentive. I would say we didn’t wait more than 15-20mins for our food. Highly recommend.
The food was good. We ordered the chip and salsa for the kids to get started with since El Mitote did not have a kid’s menu. The children shared the chicken quesadilla, which was enough for three kids. My husband’s enchilada Suiza was amazing. My Comida corrida platter with shrimp was great too. One minor thing was that they did not have a high chair for my little one, and we did not recall hearing any good music sitting outdoor. They did not have fajitas, which is my go-to entree in Mexican restaurants usually. The plates seemed to be all plastic, which was colorful but I don’t like plastic personally.
Overall there is nothing too special at El Mitote. From other reviews, I was expecting to be blown away when in reality, this place is just good. The atmosphere: is a small place with limited seating inside and a more extensive outdoor area. The aesthetic is nice but nothing special. The staff: were nice. Besides taking my order and giving the check, there wasn’t much interaction or service. The food came reasonably quickly. The food: was good. The guacamole was a bit wet. In my opinion, the pork tacos seem a little dry. The platter I had was tasty but needed a sauce. Cleanliness: Good
